Jean-Jacques Rousseau (1712-1778)
A French writer, philosopher, and sometime music scholar and composer.
His "Dictionaire de musique" was published in 1767. This work contains
many of Rousseau's articles written originally for the "Encyclopedie",
to which he was a major contributor.
