Johann Joachim Quantz (1697-1773)
A composer and flutist as well as the author of "Versuch einer Anweisung,
die Flote traversiere zu spielen" (Essay on Instruction for Playing the
Transverse Flute), Berlin 1752. Although the title suggests a method
for flute, Quantz deals with problems and questions of the performance
practice of his time.
